The Merak is a racing bike par excellence, ensuring lightness, responsiveness, and an extremely comfortable ride.
A frame with twenty years of history, the Merak is De Rosa's flagship race bike. Featuring an ultralight carbon frame, weighing in at only 800 grams (size 54), this bike is designed to go just as fast on the climbs as it does on the descents. Fully internal cable routing means a clean look, and along with the dropped seat stays, also means a more aerodynamic frame without compromising for weight. The dropped seat stays also means more comfort built into the frame without a loss of stiffness, so you can be sure that a Gran Fondo is as comfortable as your weekend ride. You can see the Merak in the pro peloton, being ridden by Team Cofidis.
