COLNAGO V4RS DISC - V is for Victory.
The new Colnago V4Rs has arrived and it is the fastest, highest performing Colnago to date. A frame perfected and shaped by the wind tunnel, stiffer and more efficient than its predecessor. Built to compete and to win.
A development that goes back a long way, beginning with the creation of a prototype with which the UAE Emirates team raced much of the 2022 season. Feedback and suggestions from the team played a key role in the final development of the project.
The V4Rs, in addition to increased stiffness and refined aerodynamics, is introduced with numerous improvements, starting with the new cable integration system, now ensured by the adoption of a circular (and no longer D-shaped) fork steerer, and a larger 1"¼ headset diameter.
This choice led to a new head tube design, improving stiffness and aerodynamics once again. The new fork is more intuitive in its road behavior and allows, as does the rear triangle, a tire clearance of 32mm.
BETTER AERODYNAMICS
The V4Rs profiles have been revised to allow a decrease in aero drag. The Colnago V4Rs, albeit not an aerobike, is a significant leap forward compared to the V3Rs, based on its wind tunnel performances.
T47 BOTTOM BRACKET
The T47 Bottom Bracket - same dimension as of the C68 - is oversize, to allow a better reactiveness of the bike and easier replacement compared to the previous Colnago standard.
INCREASED OVERALL STIFFNESS
This frameset is stiffer than the V3Rs. You can sprint faster and climb with more efficiency. We developed a new testing methodology to simulate and measure stiffness in a realistic and effective way.

ROBUSTNESS
The new V4Rs significantly improves the crash worth of the most exposed parts which may be subjected to impact in racing conditions. An example is given by the completely new designed seat stays, which, besides their more aerodynamic shape, also significantly improve the flexural and impact resistance. The robustness of this design also minimizes the need of maintenance.
BETTER HANDLING
The weight distribution has changed from the V3Rs. The front fork is now lighter and the overall weight of the frame kit + handlebar setup has been decreased of 56 grams.
The result is a better handling in corners and more safety and precision when going downhill.
EASIER BIKE FITTING
Geometry has been revised to have even more balanced performance in all the different sizes with respect to the V3Rs. For the V4Rs the relationship between seat tube length and reach is almost linear, the stack / reach ratio has been optimized and harmonized among all the sizes, and the chain stay length has been reduced. This geometry affords a better balance, power transfer and the same race feeling for all the sizes.
THE NEW CC.01
Colnago Cockpit CC.01 ( sold separately) has a drag surface reduced by up to 16% compared to the cockpits mounted on V3Rs, and at the same time the shape has been designed as a NACA-derived profile in order to have the minimum impact on the air flow, which is laminar and clean while impacting the components. This aerodynamic evolution was carried out without reducing the cockpit’s overall stiffness, which is as important as aerodynamics in sprint and acceleration.
HEADTUBE GEOMETRY
Its shape has been revised and perfectly integrated with the new lightweight fork (designed to allow an effective tire clearance up to 32mm) and with the new cockpit. Although the head set upper bearings are bigger than those of the V3Rs, allowing the cables to run inside without the need of the D-Shaped steerer column and enhancing the overall front-end stability, the overall shape has a better drag.
