The Northwave Celsius XC GTX MTB/gravel shoes rely on a Pique Gore-Tex® membrane for their all-weather performance. This provides a waterproof and windproof barrier while also offering an excellent degree of insulation against temperatures that hover around freezing. Rated to a -3 degrees C comfort level.
Wet weather protection is enhanced further by the flexible neoprene Easyfit Climaflex collar. This prevents water from seeping inside but still allows for smooth unrestricted pedaling. Lastly, the four-layer insole provides outstanding insulation, complementing the Pique Gore-Tex membrane perfectly.
Jaws Carbon-Reinforced Sole
Riding off-road/gravel routes needs a sole that delivers good pedaling efficiency and support but at the same time some flex to soak up the bumps. And this is exactly what you get with the Jaws Carbon-Reinforced Sole. It will propel you forward as soon as you apply power but won't leave your feet buzzing with pins and needles across rough routes. The rubber grip provides traction off the bike and studs can be added for added grip on steep and muddy routes.
SLW2 closure system
Keeping the fit snug and comfortable, the SLW2 closure system allows you to dial in the fit just how you like it. The micro-adjust dial gives precise control of the fit but then at the end of a ride, a single button release makes it easy to kick off your shoes. Quick. Simple, Durable. Precise. And in conjunction with the Overlap design of the upper, a great fit without pressure points is made possible.
These MTB/gravel shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use cleats with SPD standard (2-bolt standard) fittings.
