Giro Aries Spherical

Giro's newest, top of the line helmet is here: the Aries Spherical, or what Giro calls "the helmet that doesn't feel like it's there". The Aries maximizes on ventilation and drag reduction, without compromising on weight thanks to their AURA II reinforcement arches. These superlight translucent arches running through the helmet have been engineered to be shatter resistant, while maximizing air flow with the help of the 24 wind tunnel vents on the Aries.

Lastly, with the help of MIPS Spherical, the Giro Aries Spherical has the highest safety rating of any tested bicycle helmet by the University of Virginia Tech, earning a 5 star rating and their lowest impact score ever of 8.40.
 

What is MIPS Spherical?

For those unfamiliar with MIPS Spherical, it takes the MIPS liner on the inside of the helmet, and moves it to the outside as a second layer - what Giro calls a "ball and socket fit". This creates a helmet that has all the safety benefits of MIPS, without compromising weight, ventilation, and fit.
